The People's Transport |

Atmostrack and the Developing World For parts of the world like the sub-Sahara, Atmostrack can provide inexpensive solutions. Cheaper utility vehicles running on solar power can provide transportation to assist the development of local economies and help keep the men at home. Surplus electricity would be widely available along the routes. Water would be distributed from distant sources at little cost. Atmostrack is ideal for national and international agencies working to solve poverty and associated problems in difficult areas. Because Atmostrack can be configured with the drive line above the vehicles, the drive line, solar panels plus pipes for water, communications etc can be located safely above ground. Above ground Atmostrack would not interfere with animal life or local ecology.

Atmostrack and Land Mines A distinct advantage of Atmostrack is that an above ground system can be installed without the need to physically traverse the ground over which the system is installed. Only the small footprint of the supporting pylons needs to be cleared of land mines - and this can be done robotically from above ground. Atmostrack can safely connect communities with other communities and, importantly, also with health providers. With Atmostrack, health providers will be able to travel rapidly and safely to the place they are needed. Atmostrack and Water Supply An Atmostrack system can join areas where there is water (mountains, rivers, lakes) to areas where water is needed. Atmostrack can also collect rainwater. Water tubes located above ground but below the track can distribute water easily. With vacuum available along the entire Atmostrack system, syphons can readily be located to move water up and over hills.
